Red Nodes on Completed Streets

It should yes, but it doesn’t seem like it’s :100: reliable :slightly_frowning_face:

I reprocessed the one activity & saw that it jumped to progress 9 streets. Usually when this issue comes up, everyone in the city has decreased stats … it doesn’t seem that way here, so I’ve just sent all your activities through to be reprocessed. I’m hoping that will fix it up for you.

Everything looks great, thanks for your help with this!

Hi, James. I’m jumping back into this thread because the same issue has cropped up again on a few streets in Oakland, California – situations where I’ve clearly walked the entire street, but CityStrides still shows some red nodes and I don’t have credit for finishing the street. The troublesome streets are all in the same part of town:

Thanks for your help!

I just noticed another issue of this type, on a very small section of a relatively long road (420 nodes) named Grizzly Peak Boulevard. There are sections of this road that I truly have not completed, but this section should be marked as done.

Thanks for your help!

@JamesChevalier I see in some of the earlier comments on this thread that you’d also appreciate links to the activities that should have completed the nodes in question. Here are the relevant activities for the issues identified above:

Strava forces your data to be private, so I can’t do any visual confirmation myself. I did reprocess all your activities and I do see that Dwight Place is now present in the database as completed.

Thanks, James. All of the Panoramic and Dwight streets are now marked as complete, and the red nodes on Grizzly Peak are gone.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Challenges not updated after city updates

Hi James,

I haven’t been City striding for a while but I am back and have noticed that this issue in Coventry, UK is not resolved, its the same roads as before.

I still don’t know how many other locations around Coventry and struggling with the same issue, or if there is something I can do to help. I have found others that are almost certainly down to bad GPS, so I am happy to just re run those.

Do you have any suggestions?

Many Thanks
Allan

I’ve just sent all your activities in for reprocessing, so all your stats should now be correct.

Amazing,
Thankyou James,

I can see my total roads has jumped up so it has worked.
I can crack on and try and push through the last 100 or so roads in Coventry now.

Thanks!

Hi James, I have the same issue with red nodes after completion in Edinburgh UK. Please see screenshot. Most of those streets have been done and they are in the completed list it’s just that those nodes appear after hitting the show missing nodes button. Would you be able to have a look at this when you have time please

?

How’d that look now that I’ve reprocessed your activities?
I’m finding some of these streets in your completed list, so I’m hoping it’s ok now…

That’s it sorted. Thanks so much.

Hi all,
Not sure if it’s the right topic for my problem, but it seems very similar.
My problem is that I have streets that are considered as not completed whereas I already ran several times on the exact spot of the nodes. Trying to understand, I saw that the street can be completed in a nested city, and not completed in the parent city.
Here is one example:

I have many other examples like that.
Reprocessing my activities could solve the problem? How to do it?
Thanks!

Hm, yeah, reprocessing your activities fixed it up. That’s something I haven’t built user access to - just a pile of code I manually run - it really shouldn’t be required at all
