Profile picture problems

Since I registered in early 2019 I have always had a profile picture and it disappeared a few weeks ago. I am not the only one, I see that some of those who are citystriding Barcelona have also disappeared.

Oh yeah that whole area of the code is Weird I think there’s a job that updates avatars from whatever the first connected service is, once a month. I also think I disabled this for Strava because it’s another API call. I don’t like the avatar setup, it was just the least effort when I first started the site … also since some of the avatars are sourced from Facebook, they can be perceived by some plugins as spy pixels (probably rightly so). Since they aren’t stored locally to CityStrides, there is an “idea” to change how they are handled, so you can go vote for it if you like.

Local (to CS) avatar upload

I’d like the ability to upload an avatar picture directly to CityStrides so I can choose what my image will be on the main site.
