I am currently closing in on finishing the city of Warwick, RI, however there are several streets which are listed on CityStrides that are no longer “there” because they are closed off with 8 foot privacy wall due to be annexed by the airport for parking/storage.
The streets in question are as follows:
Murray St
Strawberry Field Rd (just one end - can view what isn’t walkable on my profile)
Fieldview Dr

James, you are correct. The two problem streets are, as you quoted: I think you might be referring to Heike - CityStrides and Bosstraat - CityStrides
If you could fix that, I might get to 100 %!!!
Best Regards, Mark Peeters from Belgium
OK, now I’ve located them, and I can help you update OSM. But I need to know exactly how/why.
Bosstraat - you say impossible to reach, why? Is there a gate or a fence stopping you?? A private road? On the satellite map it almost looks like there is no road at all… And it seems it’s exactly on the Dutch-Belgian border…?
Heike - this looks like it could be a private road leading up to the next property, is that so?
concerning Bosstraat: There is a gate, but behind the gate there is no road visible, it’s all impenetrable bushes, and there is no road to be seen. Maybe long ago there was a road or something.
There are two nods in the Belgian side of the Bosstraat. The first one is exactly on the Dutch-Belgian border (as you mentioned), and that one is the only nod that can be reached. The second nod is full in Belgium, but as said, not reachable, due to a fence and behind there are a fence, bushes and no road.
Beware: the Bosstraat on the Dutch side of the border is no problem to run.
Concerning Heike: the last nod is behind a huge fence (camera, security), so that nod is impossible to reach without trespassing private property (and it would take a climb over a high fence).
I must say that sometimes roads are difficult to find and the road may be a dirt road, with high grasses and so, but that’s no problem, but the Belgian part of the Bosstraat is really not a road (I guess it’s only 100 meters long, maybe it’s not worth to leave it in the map). I’ve done lots of trails in my years as a runner, but this is impossible.
Hope to cleared everything out for you.
Thank you (and James) for the effort you put in me (and in general in Citystrides).
I do promote your side to the runners in my community!
My English is not perfect, but I hope you can understand what I’m trying to say.
there is another not runnable street in Hoogstraten, Belgium. It’s a part of the Amsterdamstraat. Photo included (see the red zone on google maps and city strides running map).
