Edited "road" off OSM but inaccessible node hasn't disappeared on CS

I’m one node away from having this city done: Melanie Hevel-Olson is running McIntosh, Minnesota - CityStrides . The last node is not accessible as it’s deep back on a private driveway that was listed as a street on OSM. Instead of begging for help here in this forum, a couple weeks ago I took matters into my own hands and joined OSM, went through the entire tutorial of how to edit it, deleted the offending “street” in this city, then patiently waited for the update and for the node to disappear off CS. I have now seen the update has taken place and the street is, correctly, gone, since it’s a private driveway, not a street. However, the node has not disappeared off CS. I went back into OSM hoping I could figure it out there rather than having to beg for help here in the forum, but the bottom line is, on OSM, there is no node, and no “nothing” at all, at the location where CS still has the offending node. I apologize if this issue has been addressed before here. I did search through and tried to find help before posting this. How do I/we make that node go away?

I’d guess you’ve updated OpenStreetmap correctly, and Mapbox map was updated, but the updated data hasn’t been synced to CityStrides:

I think this means the city was last synced way back in Dec 2025. There is a “queue sync” button for supporters but I believe James has maybe turned that feature off while he’s working on the sync code?

Thank you! I had seen that date before but never knew what it meant. Yes, that must be the reason why. Kinda crazy it hasn’t been synced in almost nine months. I appreciate you helping me to understand this. I am a Supporter. I will look into it further but understand if he currently has that feature turned off.

I found the Queue Sync option, and now the “2025-12-02” has changed to “queued for sync,” so this is good progress in my mind.

So the issue is that small towns like this queue very quickly, but you can imagine that cities like London or Paris or whatever take eternities to sync (you also have to re-analyze every single runner’s data) so yeah.
