City border didn't update

Hey @JamesChevalier, I’ve fixed a couple of errors in the borders between two council areas here in OSM and triggered an update for both of them in CS but the border hasn’t updated. Is there something you need to do for this? The cities are City of Knox and Shire of Yarra Ranges:

I went to post this as a comment on Boundary for city has changed, but it said the topic was solved and to create a new topic.

Borders update ~monthly whenever the next applicable city sync runs.

I did manually send those in for a border update, but they did look the same - at quick glance - as the OSM version. :person_shrugging:
Also, there’s a wild world of browser caching in there - it can take a bit more time for everything to display the new border.

Thanks James.
The part of the border that I fixed up is near School Track:

I aligned the council area border (the northern line where they diverge there) with the suburb border closer to the edge of the treeline.

Actually, maybe it’s just the line being rendered but the node collection is working now. That node right on the purple line was being shown inside the City of Knox prior to me posting the above but it’s now showing in the Shire of Yarra Ranges (which is correct).

I’ve recently noticed some issues with borders. Below is the multiple borders between cities of Southport, Ashmore and Bundall in the Gold Coast region of Australia. The blue border is what you see when using city border, the pink is what you get when using the “globe” icon

If you click the border, it’ll display a popup that contains all the cities that share that border. They’ll link out to the city page, as well.
It might be that the city border updated (blue line) and the global dataset (pink lines) hasn’t been rebuilt to reflect that yet … That’s a manual thing that I haven’t put on a schedule yet.
