Activities missing on map

Same issue here with my walk yesterday!

Same here…just wanted to respond here so I was looped in on any answers that might eventually be given.

All my completed streets / purple lines are suddenly gone from my map? Is this a problem for many, which will be updated soon?

Hi, for some reason I cannot see the routes I have already walked in my lifemap. Everything just disappeared. I checked my phone and PC and it’s the same on both. My activities are synced though so I am not sure of the issue. Thanks

Hello, my activities are not showing up in my life map. Can someone help fix that?

Same here. My walk yesterday is recorded in City Strides as an activity. It shows where I walked if I click on it, as well as newly completed streets. But it is not on my Life Map!

I had activity from this morning (14.5 mile run on 1/31/26) that did not sync to my lifemap.

Thanks for looking into it!

Posted an activity a few hours ago, however my entire lifemap is empty.

Appreciate your help!

Morning Jim

Can you check last night’s walk to the pub please, it looks like I’m still there on CS, but I definitely made it home as Runkeeper says I am.

Thanks, Jim

OK, to follow this up…

Yesterday’s run that hadn’t been showing on the life map? Yeah, after more than 24 hours I checked back again and it has loaded up fine. All there, and the GPS trace follows the streets nicely.

Then a 6.89km run today. Same issue with this new activity as I had yesterday. The individual activity is uploaded. The streets completed figure is there. The associated map of just this activity is OK when I click on it. But, once again, the Life Map hasn’t been updated to show the streets as ā€˜Completed’. I’ll check back tomorrow, if I get the opportunity. I’m a free user right now, but issues with Wandrer.earth led me to withdraw my engagement on that app/site. Hopefully things will settle down soon on CityStrides. It’s not a great look - the free version is a shop window for the subscription version. And subscribing isn’t exactly cheap, as a military veteran with an army pension as my only income.

That 6.89km run yesterday?

I’ve checked back overnight, about 20 hours after I ran it, and it still hasn’t been added to my Life Map.

I happened upon some new Strava segments on that activity that covered some of those ā€œmissingā€ new streets, and earned a couple of Strava top ten trophies. I may give them another go today, and see what happens regarding it getting added to my Life Map at the second attempt.

Apologies for the lack of links/screenshots, but I’m not a smartphone ā€œexpert levelā€ user, so creating such things often leads to a severe loss of patience and increase in stress…

…aaaaaand ā€œBoom!ā€

25 minutes later and it has ā€œdroppedā€.

Slightly frustrating, and I still don’t know if it is updating as a result of the passing of time, or if there has been any human intervention as a result of my forum posts.

Experiment incoming  Maybe I need an anonymous wait to see which it is. If the Life Map update delay is just a case of having to wait 24 hours, reliably, I can feel frustrated but accept it as the cost of being a free user. If I’m going to have to post to the forum after every run, though, that is likely to become too frustrating too quickly for me to stick around and persevere…

Hello. Could you please manually re-build my LifeMap? I’m hoping to resume a challenge later today and I don’t remember exactly where I left off. Thank!

Roypeterson@rocketmail.com - my map is blank. What do I need to do? My first real problem in years of continual use. Thanks.

Thank you, Jim. That was quick. I was doing a virtual for Surf City and was devastated when I looked this morning to confirm where I was parking the car. A big portion of my life is connected to City Strides . There was a big hole when the purple lines disappeared. Thanks again for filling that hole so quickly.

Hi there! I have a missing activity from today, it’s on my profile but not showing up on my lifemap, would really appreciate if you could sync it for me please! Lauren Song - CityStrides

My lifemap used to update almost instantly when it was just linked to Strava, until recently I also connected Garmin and now it seems to take days. I’ve since disconnected Garmin but the Strava activities still do not update to my lifemap, even though I can see the activities on my profile. Would you be able to look into this? Sorry to be a pain, thank you so much!

Thanks for a great site and feature.

I try to keep ongoing issues like this up to date by marking my post as the solution. This adds a snippet of text to the initial post :backhand_index_pointing_up: and links to my reply … I try to keep this reply up to date with relevant info as the issue progresses.

Longer threads can be difficult to manage, so sometimes I’ll reply in to remind everyone - Activities missing on map - #3 by JamesChevalier - since I can’t possibly keep up on a post-by-post basis.

Hey there! Also noticing that my recent walkway captured in activities but not updated in the LifeMap. My brother also said he noticed this happening over the past weekend. Any advice? Please advise

James,

Thank you so much for everything that you do! Your work is greatly appreciated. I am not a paying member now, but I will be in the future. You said it is taking about 10 hours to update the life map. Any thoughts/estimates on when it might be a little quicker? Is it loading faster for paying members? Not a technical person, but could you explain why it switched recently from very quick to 10+ hours? Once again, thank you for everything you do. It really is appreciated.
