Trail run activities don't sync from Runkeeper

I ran long yesterday and broke it up into 2 activites, one mostly-asphalt (run) and the other mostly muddy trails and cliff scrambling (trail run). I recorded both as the requisite activity types on my Garmin watch, and when I uploaded them to Runkeeper I also used Run and Trail Run as activity types, respectively. However, only the Run activity synced. I tried profile sync, single activity sync, nothing worked. So I suspected it was because of the activity type, and indeed, when I changed from Run to Trail Run on Runkeeper the activity synced without an issue.

So, can you please include Trail Run as an acceptable activity type for import into CityStrides? Thank you :slight_smile:

Can you share a link to the activity? I need to see what the API is presenting it as.

The current list of allowed activities is Running, Walking, Hiking. Other services have many more types, like the Trail Run youā€™re mentioning, so I have no problem including those.

Edit: Sorry, Iā€™m a mess - I didnā€™t notice you already changed it from Trail Run to Run ā€¦ :thinking: maybe change it back to Trail Run, then I can manually grab your newest batch of activities to look through the data

For the purposes of the query, I deleted the ā€˜Runā€™ version of the activity in CityStrides, it may still be processing the delete but at least it doesnā€™t show up on my profile page.

OK, cool, they list it as ā€œTrail Runningā€ ā€¦ I also was able to dig up their full list of activity types. I think I can make a number of updates.

Running (was just Running):
Running, Running with Family, Trail Running

Walking (was just Hiking, Walking):
Hiking, Nordic Walking, Rucking, Walking

I also notice they have Plogging and Iā€™m unsure if that should go into Running or Walking categoryā€¦ My initial instinct is to categorize it as Running.
(I technically separate the two in the data layer, but I donā€™t currently do anything to differentiate between them anywhere)

No idea what plogging is, they really do seem to have a cornucopia of activity types. Gotta get snowshoeing into CityStrides as well :laughing: anyways, thanks!

Just circling back here, because I havenā€™t touched anything and noticed just now that the Trail Run activity still isnā€™t in CityStrides. Are you going to import it or should I go ahead and try, or should I change it to ā€˜Runā€™ again?
