Sync update

Message

Good morning,

Over the weekend, June 6th, I edit an activity on the Garmin because I drove off without stopping the activity. It was then deleted on CityStrides and a sync was requested. I expected it to repost fairly quickly, but I am still not seeing it on Monday morning. Did I do something wrong, not wait long enough, or another issue? Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Sean

Garmin syncing is a pain - they only allow service to request data once so I can’t offer the same “sync now” functionality for that service. You’ll have to use the single activity sync feature that’s in the activity trackers section of your settings page

James,

Thank you as always for your help. It is really appreciated.

That is what I did. I just tried it again and the error said Garmin duplicate request. Any ideas? I really want those five miles of activity. Thank you so much.

Sean

Ugh

I think it will be easier/faster if you can export that activity from Garmin Connect as GPX or FIT, and then manually upload it. :anxious_face_with_sweat:

The other approach is for me to gather some of your account data & activity date, reach out to Garmin support, and wait for them to manually push the activity over. It’s technically possible, but takes days. :grimacing:

James,

It worked. I was able to save in the correct format and use the link to upload the single activity. It changed the day, but that doesn’t matter. Thank you so much for your help and I have this for future use so that I don’t bother you. Much appreciated.

Sean

If the incorrect date does end up bugging you, you can click the Edit button on the activity page to change that. My guess is that there was some time zone conversion issue.
