Restricted Street

:link: My profile link :

I’m not sure if my post can be seen. I was asking about a restricted street in Summit, NJ that is preventing me from completing the town. It is a recycling center and the sign says “no trespassing - violators will be prosecuted”

You could mark it manually complete or you could go into Open Street Maps and edit the point where the gate is to note behind it is private, which should have it fall off your streets. I tried to see if I could find it on google, but I didn’t have any luck.

If you are interested in making the OSM change(s) yourself, there is a WiKi for that:

Warning: It’s quite addictive.

Thanks Eric! Is there any way I can ask someone to do it for me? If not, I will try to navigate this!

I will do it. Post the link for the street. Upload a screen grab of the street and mark where the sign is.

Note: I will see if Google StreetView has it, but I need to know the street.

PS. Looks like your profile is marked private, as I see one Strider, missing one street, in Summit, New Jersey - CityStrides , otherwise I could have probably figured it out.

Right where I stopped running is where the sign is. LOL. You’re the best!! Is that picture good enough?

Good enough… Marked private after where you stopped running.

Let me know when Summit updates and if you are 100% Cheers!

Will do!! THANK YOU!!!

PS. If you want 100% now, you can mark New Providence Avenue Manually Complete, and when Summit updates, the Manually Complete will go away.

I didn’t even know you could do that haha

Only recently, year or two, did CS update based on OSM data. In the beginning, the only way to be 100% was to manually complete… Unless you lived in a place with no private roads and everything 100% perfect.
