Been fun to see how dynamic the rank is. I’ve ranged from 133-122 just in the time that it went live, so I can see that in the range of runners I’m in, we are all pretty close in street count!

I love the recent updates! But there is one element which still could be improved :slight_smile:
I am the strider who fulfils both criteria - 12352 streets as of today*, but my global rank is 2 :frowning:
I assume there might be a mystery strider who exceeds my current total - so it would be good to have also the Global ranking somewhere on the page (the Striders tab?) with the same solution as for the specific cities page, i.e. e.g. with a row like that:

  • A private Strider is in 1st/nth place at … streets

so that I know whom I am chasing (and who is chasing me)

(*actually: the number of countries I run stands at 22, rather than 20 - Romania and Georgia are still missing from Citystrides. In Europe getting a large number of countries is not such a big deal, countries are small and flying anywhere takes no more than 3 hours, with many cheap airlines).

I second having a global rankings on the striders page, which is not useful as is because it is currently organized by date joined and no options to sort in any other fashion.

Yeah, I’m planning a leaderboard now. I don’t know if it’ll be a whole new page or if I’ll revamp the users page (Striders, linked from the top left menu).

Based on this wikipedia entry for Romania, I can’t tell if the regions in CityStrides should be the development regions:

  • Nord-Vest
  • Centru
  • Nord-Est
  • Sud-Est
  • Sud - Muntenia
  • București - Ilfov
  • Sud-Vest Oltenia
  • Vest

Or if they should be the counties:

  • Bihor
  • Bistrița-Năsăud
  • Cluj
  • Maramureș
  • Satu Mare
  • Sălaj
  • (etc)

For Georgia, there only seem to be a few places at admin level 8:

  • Знаур - Знауыр
  • Цхинвал
  • Аҟәа - Сухум
  • Ленингор
  • Афон Ҿыц - Новый Афон
  • zemo machkhaani

While there are 83 at admin level 6 (first 10):

  • Гагра араион - Гагрский район
  • ფოთი
  • ოზურგეთის მუნიციპალიტეტი
  • ლანჩხუთის მუნიციპალიტეტი
  • ჩოხატაურის მუნიციპალიტეტი

For Romania, there are 8 regions, Nord-Vest, Centru etc.
For Georgia, the proper admin level is admin_level=4

  • The Autonomous Republic of Ajara (Capital Batumi)
    and the other 10 regions (in brackets: Capitals):
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti (Zugdidi)
  • Guria (Ozurgeti)
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti (Ambrolauri)
  • Imereti (Kutaisi)
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti (Akhaltsikhe)
  • Shida Kartli (Gori)
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti (Mtskheta)
  • Kvemo Kartli (Rustavi)
  • Kakheti (Telavi)
  • The city of Tbilisi

Having 23 countries, I’d find it cool to see my standing in the country count!
