Nodes within closed construction area, road has been removed

:link: My profile link : Olav Engen is running Nes, Akershus - CityStrides

The last 75 meter of Ekravegen in Nes, Akershus,Norway is missing.
This is a construction area closed off with fences, and the road does not return.

How can I remove the five nodes?

You could ask the builders nicely, they may let you in. Wear hi viz and follow a vehicle. Go back at night and climb over the fence. Leave it for now and return when the site is completed. Act daft and just run in. These and other methods helped me finish Sheffield.

if it is fenced off and obviously private, change the tags of the road in osm and it will be updated in CS sooner or later

I mean… IS it private? I am not up on my Norway all that much, but I know in the states you can usually hop on a county GIS and confirm ownership. I work in the construction industry, and I could absolutely see a world where a dead end/cul-de-sac is temporarily closed for road work/private development if there are no other properties needing access.

It may be just as you say, but I’m always a little dodgy about editing OSM unless I can confirm something like that.

For me, if i run there, and with my own eyes i see it’s fenced, i edit OSM

But what if it’s just a temporary closure? Will you go back and re-edit once it’s open again to traffic?

Thanks everyone
I will try to get behind the fence first, then check that it is a permanent problem before any input to OSM

Normally it’s very obvious if there is contruction fencing, or it’s a private area fencing. With those differences i would map in osm
