Hi, This activity is missing most of the data from the run. Is there something I can do to represent what actually occurred?
Iâm not aware of it being possible for Garmin to send over partial data for activities, so this is a new one for me.
Garmin syncing is fairly limited - they only allow requesting data once. So you could try deleting it and running a single activity sync from the Activity Trackers section of the Settings page ⊠If this fails with a âtoo many requestsâ error, youâll need to export the data from Garmin Connect to manually upload its FIT file.
Thanks for your response. The route is in Citystrides and the street paths all show up, but the actual âcreditâ for lack of a better word, is not recognized in the completed/partial roads part of city strides. Am I making sense?
Oh ok, donât do any of the stuff I said then - totally different situation.
Iâd suggest clicking the Go button for the street thatâs not complete ⊠Maybe there are more sections that are unfinished.
If the street isnât present in the list on your activity, that might mean the city doesnât exist in CityStrides. Thatâs my guess - Obetz, Ohio - CityStrides - looks like you ran mostly outside that city border & thereâs no city on the other side. It seems like Relation: âȘHamilton Township⏠(âȘ7820304âŹ) | OpenStreetMap might cover it - I would just need to make sure it doesnât overlap with existing cities.
The streets, both complete and partial, are not on the list at all. They are present on the map within citystrides-which is where I built the route.
I looked at your activity and I had a feeling youâre dealing with an issue Floridians also suffer, which is unincorporated areas. Some quick research revealed this, which seems to corroborate:
The township covers approximately 14 square miles and blends historic charm with modern growth. Today, Hamilton Township is home to more than 8,600 residents, with roughly half living in unincorporated areas.
Thereâs nothing to be done about getting credit because CityStrides considers only âcitiesâ, aka distinct geographically-bound administrative zones that are named and defined within OpenStreetMaps and you canât name an area that hasnât been annexed by a nearby municipality.
On the other hand, you can still paint your LifeMap purple by filling in all the streets there. I run a lot of roads that are for âzero creditâ but still pleased knowing I ran a long unnamed road or an unincorporated subdivision, etc. Hope this is helpful, happy striding.
Thank you!
OK. I hope Iâm explaining it clearly, so here goes . . .
I walked 9 miles today. All mapping data is visually represented as expected, but it is showing up as:
0 streets completed
0 streets progressed
The walk was entirely within a defined geographical area which is nested with two other towns inside a Local Authority defined area. Furthermore, almost all the streets covered were first time exploration for me. This has also kept my percentage and leaderboard position as it was yesterday. I had this happen once recently, but it sorted itself out very quickly. Iâve sat on this issue for several hours now with no changes that I can see. Hopefully this is the correct link to the activity Iâm talking about: yellow jackâs activity on August 25, 2026 - CityStrides CityStrides
Thereâs a huge delay (3 or 4 hours right now - earlier today it was up to 8 hours) in free account processing - viewable in the Status page.
OK, thanks for the reply.
Update: the âheadlineâ figures for the activity now show 38 streets progressed, so something has moved along. I presume I just need to wait now for some of those progressed streets to be processed and change to completed. Theyâre showing as completed now when I use the âGoâ button to view them, with all relevant nodes showing as blue.
Thanks again, James, for all you do for this site and the user community!
