Missing/Broken Cities Tracker

Thank you!!

 I think it was a result of accepting more currencies. To do that, I have to create a product that has both the $5 and $50 prices, and then add each currency for both prices (currently 10 currencies).
I’ve got some things in place that could make this easier to manage, so maybe I’ll look into adding some kind of Super Supporter interface in the Billing settings page.

Thanks for adding the Village of Cremona. Small correction required, it is in the province of Alberta, not British Columbia.
Thanks.

Thanks so much James for adding St. Thomas & Central Elgin in Ontario, Canada!! I’ve got 97.98% of my home town St. Thomas done and now it’s time to hunt down a few missing nodes!

Hi, I added one city (Pszczyna) from Poland to the list (line 62 in tracker) some time ago, what could the time prediction to see it in CS?

Looks like it already exists - gmina Pszczyna, województwo śląskie - CityStrides

Looks like I brought in admin level 7 because it provided full coverage:

Compared to what was present at level 8:

Good Day. I have had a city, Simcoe Ontario Canada on the Missing Cities tracker since last fall 2024. I spent a month and a half there for work and I believe I ran every street during that time and would like to see it added. If you could.

Simcoe does not have a usable boundary in OpenStreetMap. It only exists as a Node, and it needs to exist as a relation/way to be usable in CityStrides.
That city is present in the next sheet over which covers issues within OSM. Maybe somebody very good with OSM editing can help out.

Thanks James. I’ll dig in a bit to the OSM and see what I can do.

Hi James, would there be a way for you to regularly add the simpler missing city requests (ways/relations without OSM issues) once a month or quarter? I’m not sure it can be automatic, but a way to add the valid ways/relations that essentially aren’t duplicate/invalid requests. I understand you are busy and this is simply yet another task to do. Is this a process you have to complete by yourself as well?

Yeah, that’s the ideal. It’s more of a personal scheduling issue where I keep up with it well for a month or two and then Something Happens™ … like how I should be sending out a newsletter each month, but haven’t since April of 2024  :sob:

Everything is a process I have to complete by myself. My cats are not very helpful.

I thought you were looking for someone to help with the complicated OSM tasks in the Missing/Broken Cities Tracker (like some of the nodes), so that’s why I was wondering if you do it all yourself. Maybe you can train your cats to do those! Thank You!

Oh, yeah, sorry I misunderstood. There’s still a pile of OSM work that needs to be done. I moved that info over into the second tab on that sheet. It’s definitely work that’s well outside of my capabilities / time availability.

As far as the actual work of getting the functional OSM relation/way data into CityStrides, that’s all me.
