Linked wrong MapMyRun account

When I started my account I linked my Strava, Garmin and MapMyRun accounts. I have 2 MMR accounts - one from before I was married and one from after I got married. I think I am missing streets I would have captured under the older MMR account. Is there a way to connect a second MapMyRun account, or to remove the one I have connected and switch to the other?

It’s not possible to connect two of the same services to a single CityStrides account, so here’s how you can swap them out:

  • Visit https://www.mapmyfitness.com/account/connected_apps
  • Click the button to disconnect CityStrides
    • With all other services, revoking access will delete that data from CityStrides, so for anyone reading along do not revoke access unless you want your data deleted
    • MapMyFitness is an outlier because their connection is so flaky, it’s very common for the connection to go stale (logging out/in again in CityStrides resolves this) so this data isn’t automatically deleted like it is for other services
  • Let me know when this is done so I can manually delete your MapMyFitness data
  • After I do this, you can connect your other MapMyFitness connect from the Activity Trackers section of your Settings page

(Outside of this, I might recommend exporting all your data from the old MapMyFitness account & importing that into your new one so that you have it all in one place. You’d need to research their docs on how to accomplish that, though.)
