Lifemap display issue

I became a supporter this morning and it seems to have introduced a display issue with my lifemap. When I zoom in on either mobile or desktop, my activities from the past few months disappear and the streets appear to be incomplete. When I zoom out again, the activities re-appear. When zoomed in, streets I’ve completed recently appear as if they’re incomplete, but when I use Node Hunter, it correctly identifies them as complete, so it seems to be a display-only issue (my overall progress and completed streets are correct).

Update: seems to be resolved now.

Just recently became a supporter. Thank you so much for providing this service. I’m in OKC, and when I zoom in, some of my activities disappear, but they come back if I’m zoomed out. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you’re looking around Oklahoma City, your map is appearing just fine for me. Sometimes the map takes quite a bit of time to fully render at the closer zoom levels. Even sometimes like 20+ mins. I think this is the 2nd new supporter I’ve seen with this issue, so perhaps your map is re-generating.

This is a fairly generic problem - it can affect people becoming a Supporter or saving new activity.

There is a LifeMap rebuild process … there can be a delay in the queue (especially for free accounts) which is show in the Status page.
The actual rebuild just takes a few minutes, but that can come into play as well.
Then, there’s an amount of caching (should be about 5mins) of the actual data - I think this is what you specifically came across.

If you view the LifeMap at a moment where the data doesn’t exist, that gets cached. If you zoom/pan around, that’s requesting different/specific data - you may have viewed a different zoom while the data was present.
This can result in certain zoom levels “disappearing” during the cached data period.
