Is it possible to create a map of one day’s activities? I stop Runkeeper if I call in a building (Pub, WC, shop, &c ) when out walking, then start a new activity - reason being, RK would draw a complete route if I paused it, but CS doesn’t always do the whole route so the map and stats are wrong afterwards. I would like to create one map of all parts completed. Could someone tell me if that’s possible and how please? Jim
Go to the Lifemap and use the Filter button (looks like a funnel) to select only the day you’re interested in, should result in the map of only that day’s activities
I often pause my activity when stepping into a shop, or a brewey. It works quite well, I just have to remember to un-pause at roughly the same spot I paused.
This is on a Garmin, and it will automatically save after a bit, to save battery, if I don’t catch the prompt to stay paused.
Thank you, so much, Kev, SO obvious when you point it out! I noticed my 10,280 miles on CS were a few hundred less than Runkeeper and having a poke around I found that RK was recording the whole day’s walking (formerly running), but CS was not always showing the completed day. strangely, it was often after a pause in the pub for en-flight rehydration. Consequently, today’s pause for a visit to the Sheffield Tap went unnoticed
Thanks Eric, I’ve used Runkeeper for so long, I daren’t change and try anything else in case I get wiped off everything. Jim Chevalier suggested completing the activity and starting afresh each time to be certain of correct records. I’ve followed Kev’s suggestion and it’s a success - only to produce a visual record to share with some OAP’s I walk with, even less technically competent than me!
