Https://citystrides.com/streets/14638468 two streets, same name different locations, connected nodes

:link: :

Vincent Square has nodes in london and in biggin hill.

This is a long-standing known issue with some very large cities. It’s mentioned in About the Node, Street, and City Data but perhaps not as clearly as possible.

OpenStreetMap doesn’t have a concept of “streets”, it only knows about “ways” which are sections of roads. I have to piece these together within CityStrides, and I do that by matching them on their name.
If a city has two streets with the same name, CityStrides joins them as one street. I don’t currently have a workaround/fix for this.

Vincent Square, via this link, is in Greater London, England - CityStrides which is one city that holds both streets with this name. There’s also Vincent Square - CityStrides in City of Westminster, England - CityStrides as well as Vincent Square - CityStrides in London Borough of Bromley, England - CityStrides … These two boroughs exist as “nested cities” in the larger Greater London. These nested cities can exist in large cities so that people can have smaller areas they can progress/complete.

Thanks James. Good to know its a known issue. One day ill head to biggin hill
