Few question from beginner

Hello everyone,

Is the 100 % of a city based only on the nodes ? Because in my city there are nodes in places hard / impossible to get by foot, and in private places.
How does the % work ? Do I get a few % of a street I collected only half of the nodes from ? Or do I always need to get all the nodes to get the % relative to that street.
Thanks !

  1. By default, it’s based on the number of streets - there’s the Hard Mode for when you’d have to catch all the nodes in order to complete the street.
Furthermore, for streets with private/dangerous parts, you can either mark them as manually complete, or edit their properties in OpenStreetMap. For the latter you’d have to comply with their rules and conventions of editing, which seem to vary by country, e.g. in my case you can tag roads with foot=no (prohibited pedestrian access) only when there’s a road sign indicating that.
  2. The % seems to be the number of completed streets divided by the total, so you’ll have to finish the street (get at least 90% of its nodes) to see your percentage rise.

Enjoy!
