City Strides Overpass Turbo Query

I found somewhere, no idea where, a page that had the Overpass Turbo query. I have been using this to check that I had correctly updated OSM with names, private roads etc.

I have since done something else in Overpass Turbo and lost this query. I have tried copying in the query from the Google Sheet but this doesn’t work

There have been a few mentions/discussions of the query I use to collect the streets from Overpass API, so it seems like a good idea to open a thread that solely discusses this. This Google Doc - CityStrides Street Query - contains a full list of road types and the full/explained query that CityStrides currently uses. We can use this thread to discuss what should/shouldn’t be excluded in CityStrides or otherwise improve the query.

Using the search function in here, and search for ”query”

This post has the list set up as a query OSM Basics. It might be slightly out of date by now, but it should be easy to adapt it to the current list.
