City in question: Kevin Pels is running Pedrógão, Santarém - CityStrides
Due to the order of the city update algorithm, I got a city completion for a very not-completed city when I updated it this morning. The user list reflects that every other user who has run here also got the 
and I don’t think any of us deserve it.
Interesting edge case of a 2 street city bumping up to a 151 street city.
I’m doing some work to try and clean up the nested/parent sync situation, so I’ll also look into whether I can defer the creation. Might be tough, though, offhand I think that’s all wrapped up into a batch of jobs around activity processing. I’ll see what I can do.
I can explain a bit of the edge case…When I first ran there in Dec 2024 I noticed no streets completed, and added a bunch to OSM. Then at some point in 2025 I noticed still no streets, and realized (or thought?) the city didn’t exist in CS, so added it to the missing/broken cities tracker. I’ve been periodically checking since I ran there again late last month, and noticed today it wasn’t on there anymore…but when I found the city in citystrides, it said only 2 streets and last updated in 2020. I triggered an update this morning so the multiple OSM edits I’ve made, collectively 149 street names apparently, could be added!
The city has accent marks in the name and I noticed it only comes up with the proper marks (Pedrógão but not Pedrogão or Pedrógao). So it’s possible–or even certain–it already existed in CityStrides but I wasn’t searching it properly…
