I get a little pop-up, bottom right, that says something like “You got a new badge; Click for details”, and when I click, it takes me the supporter page. But I am a supporter, already. Perhaps a little bug there? 
Interesting … It behaves differently-bad for me … The button took me to some other random notification. Either way, I’m looking into it now.
Update: Ah, ok, I was passing the wrong ID to that notification display. It only affected the badge achievement notifications, and it’ll be fixed in the next release.
I have some authorization policies set up to block non-supporter access by redirecting them to the Supporter Features page. This authorization also applies to people trying to look at data that isn’t theirs, which led to the confusing supporter page redirect for you. I’m just leaving this as-is because I don’t want to deal with it.
