It was missing from the activites list, but now it’s there again, and the map is updated. So no issue anymore.

I guess this seems to be an issue going on. My activity of Feb 17 did not load onto my life map. Then this morning, my life map disappeared. Later that day I saved a run (Feb19) and that did not seem to restore it. Is this a temporary issue that should be updated soon?

OK. I had an issue last night with a blank Life Map. I’d run 24 kilometres, the activity showed up OK, with a map and 24 completed streets. So far so good. The Life Map was still showing at that point, just not with this latest run incorporated. No bother, I thought. I’ll check back later. So I did, and now there was nothing on the Life Map at all. Ah, phooey!

Anyway, I slept on it, and checked back this morning. Still nothing. So I put it to the back of my mind and went for a short walk. Now, that walk has uploaded to Strava and synced across to CityStrides OK. And in a bit of good news, my Life Map is back too. Fully populated, and updated to show yesterday’s long run. No intervention required. Slightly frustrating in the short term, when I’m trying to check for streets I may have missed, but hey? It fixed itself, so… “Happy Days!”

That was likely due to the delay for non-Supporters. The Status page indicates various delays.

That should not happen. I inspected your LifeMap’s data, and I see that the code produced invalid data somehow. I’m running a rebuild now while I look into how this could have happened.

Hm, this could have been the same issue.

I did start up a whole separate infrastructure to churn through the non-Supporter LifeMap queue yesterday. I’m wondering if that somehow picked up older code, because I did have an issue a while back on accounts with more than 1k/2k activities. Since the subsequent activity sync fixed your issue (which would not have used my separate infrastructure), that would’ve corrected the issue.

Your activity today put you in to the queue to rebuild it. According to the Status page, it’s an 8hr delay (from the time the activity arrives in CityStrides).

To address the high load on the database, I rebuilt how the LifeMap is built/displayed. Instead of being built/served on the fly, as you zoom/pan the map … it is now static data that is rebuilt after each saved activity. Non-Supporters have a delay in the LifeMap being built. It varies throughout the day. Supporters have very little delay - it’s usually nothing, but I have seen it get up to 5 minutes. I’ve added this delay information to the Status page. Hello,

I noticed that my Lifemap page isn’t showing any of my activities, even very old ones. All I see is the map itself, but none of the lifemap purple lines. I noticed this a few days ago, and thought maybe I need to give it some time (haven’t used the site in a few months I think). But it doesn’t seem to have changed. Things I tried that didn’t help:

• Refreshing the page
• Toggling the “Toggle Lifemap” button back and forth
• Waiting several minutes on the Lifemap page
• Logging out and back in
• Checking on another device

The “missing activities” issue sounded like it was limited to recent activities only, and I’m assuming it should still show a lifemap (just an older one).
