View of areas/territories created via overlapping runs/walks

I’d also argue against auto joining (except maybe in the case one area is fully contained in another). I’m definitely for adding a tolerance since territories that split because runs were on different sides of a street and don’t overlap is an annoyance.

For me though, territories are a fun thing to occasionally check and streets are the priority, so if I had any say on dev priorities it would be on city syncs though :upside_down_face:

I don’t agree, I have a big territory for Stockholm, and several smallet that are completely enclosed in it, but not at all connected to it. See example picture. I would definitely not want them automatically included. I see it as a challenge to connect them to Stockholm by running a connecting run

Enclaves are a red herring because they’re already wholly within a larger territory. Considering them somehow part of the larger set of connected activities won’t change the size of the territory that that larger set of activities creates.

I just made a sperate post on this, The CityStrides Community , before I found this thread. I will mark it for deletion and point to this thread.

Hey, there. How long does it take for the territories feature to update? I’ve been waiting a week now:grimacing:… I’m happy to remain patient, I was just wondering how long it takes. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Mine are updating almost as soon as the activity syncs, are you sure the GPS of your activities overlapped?

Oh yes, lol. I literally ran crazily to ensure that they overlapped!

It takes minutes (1-3) to rebuild the Territories. They’re rebuilt after every saved activity.

Either share your profile link, and I can manually rebuild it, or go for another run.
