VeniceCA wrong nodes

Venice CA the nodes on Prospect Ct are in private property and inaccessible, behind gates.

Also the Wavecrest Ave doesn’t cross main st to the east. The node is positioned in a school, behind a gate, no street there.

When situations like this are discovered, an edit in OSM is required.

You can read about that process here: OSM Basics

See the section on “Private streets:

Periodically CS updates from OSM, roughly every 5 weeks.

Hope this helps, Eric

Yeah, Eric is correct. All the street data comes from OpenStreetMap.
If something is incorrect in CityStrides, it should be edited in https://www.openstreetmap.org

There are a lot of helpful people here if you have questions (or want to ask someone to make the edits for you), so you’ve definitely done the right thing by posting this here.
If you have any questions about the required edits, because you’d like to get into OSM editing - do ask!
On the other hand, if you would like someone else in the forum to make the edits for you - that’s completely fine, and I’m sure someone will help out.

Hope you’re having fun out there!

@sharon.meiselman One note of warning though, making edits in OSM is a bit additive. You’ll find yourself saying things like, "I can’t believe OSM does not know about this drinking fountain, or park bench, or dog park, or disc golf course, or lighted fountain, etc., etc., etc.
