Show when prepaid supporter months end

It would be nice to see when the prepaid months end, instead of just the date of the last contribution. That date is especially useless if I buy another month in the middle of already having a prepaid month active.

In the Billing section of your Settings page, it should display “Months Remaining” … is that not displayed for you?

I can see the months remaining, yeah. It’s just not really exact enough for me, because I can’t plan ahead if I’ll still have the supporter features for my next street hunting cycling trip.

The situation when it gets really unclear is when I have first bought one month, then like half a month later decide to buy another month. In that case the “Date of last contribution” will get changed to today, and the “Months remaining” to 2. At that point I should then have about 1.5 months of supporter left, but it’s impossible to say when it would end just based on the info on the current Billing section. So a date of when exactly do my prepaid months run out would be really nice to have!

Ah, gotcha, it’s not that complicated. I don’t mess around with partial months, I just reset the account check date on each contribution (the day of the month of the last contribution date). So, the number of months remaining is always from the date of the last contribution.

This leaves open the ability to time payments to get free months, and could also technically reduce the length of a month if someone Prepays for multiple months on e.g. the 20th of the month and then partway through does another Prepay on e.g. the 1st of the month. So, I’ll adjust things so that:

  • The account’s check date will only change if there are 0 months left
  • The Billing page will remove “Date of last contribution”
  • The Billing page will add “End date of Prepay access” in the format of e.g. October 5, 2025

Alright, I got the updates mentioned in my previous released.

Awesome, looks really nice and clear now! I might have now gotten a free month though lol, I bought just one month on July 27th, and now after the update it shows the end date as September 27th. I’m guessing it’s just a side effect of it calculating that one month it says I have remaining from today onwards?

I see your payment on 2025-07-27 which means on the 27th it’ll decrement the number of months, which will bring it from 1 to 0.

I just need to fix the display :person_facepalming:
