OSM update sync not removing nodes marked "Private"

Yesterday I “finished” Ramada e Caneças (Kevin Pels is running Ramada e Caneças, Lisboa - CityStrides), only to return home and upload my run and see that one measly road was incomplete. During the run on that street I encountered a locked gate that blocked access to the last few nodes as being part of a driveway private residence. I updated OSM accordingly and synced the municipality on CityStrides, which does indeed say it updated on December 18th, but the nodes remain private and I remain at 99.83% :frowning:

I wonder if there is a time lag in the sync between OSM and CS? Similar thing for me, I made some small additions, actually extending some streets on Tuesday in OSM, and then a regular update yesterday did not include those adds. But some other changes earlier in December were ok

Sorry forgot to include the street Quinta do Bretão - CityStrides Way: ‪Quinta do Bretão‬ (‪1079916431‬) | OpenStreetMap

Yeah, edits in OpenStreetMap need to flow into Overpass. This can take an amount of time. I can’t give an accurate estimate, but I do discard responses from Overpass if their data is older than 1 week.

It looks like the current delay is about an hour or so. Again, I have no control over this and cannot make any guarantees.

OK good to know, in the future I won’t make OSM edits and immediately sync the city, which is what I do for uploading runs to Runkeeper. In this instance I was just especially excited because I wanted it to be CityStrides :100: official heh

Sure enough based on your reply I resynced the city and got the city completion email :raised_hands:
