New Runmapping Tech

I snagged a pair of the Meta Ray Bans during their black Friday deals. I love to take pictures when run mapping of unique things I come across. These glasses are great because I can just click a button to take a short video or picture as I run instead of pulling out my phone. They also double as sunglasses (got transition ones) and you can listen to music from the glasses. Anyways figured I would share

That’s pretty cool. I too take pictures, and it is annoying to stop, pull out phone, take picture, put phone back, then pick up the pace.

Been using it a bit more. The only downside is they die quick in the cold. I did a run in 15F the other day and they died after 45 min but normally have been good. Definitely adds a bit of fun depending on where you run.

I accidentally paused the activity a few times because of photo-taking! Ack!

I missed your original post @dallas.devries That is very cool and would cause me to take more pics. Might look into those.

I feel funny taking photos depending on the situation and this might help with NOT looking like you are taking photos! One time I was just looking at my phone to determine if I was on a street vs a driveway and a resident accused me of taking pics of his properly. He just saw me with my phone out and assumed so I showed him my camera roll to prove it and he calmed down.

Yeah, depending on where you are running sometimes its better to avoid taking out your phone if you can generally haha. I was running through some not nice places on Sunday.

I find that playing music through them vs my airpods is also good because I can still hear my surroundings.
