I’ve run 554 of the 555 streets in Covington, Ky. The one street I haven’t been able to run, the eastern end of East 32nd Street, is a gated private road behind a refinery. There is a fence with barbed wire and a locked gate with a sign across it saying, “No Trespassing. Access to this facility is limited to Authorized Personnel Only”. I have a picture of it, with me in front of the gate that I could send to you if you need evidence. Can you mark this as a private road and remove it as an accessible road?
Thanks!
Doug Schneider
With google maps and strreetview it’s not clear if this part of the road is private. I don’t see a fence or anything from there. The fence of the oil company on the start of tpart is clear, but not where it turn to the right towards the river.
My best guess is that this is not east 32nd street at all, but just a serviceroad
Thanks for looking into this and the quick response!
Google Maps Street View doesn’t go all of the way down the far eastern end of East 32nd Street in Covington – but I’ve been there 4 times now in the past several months and the gate is always locked. If you look at my profile, you’ll see 8 nodes I’m unable to access on East 32nd Street. These are on the far eastern side of East 32nd street off of Winchester St. This part of East 32nd Street is actually a separate part of East 32nd Street, divided by the railroad line as it runs down to the Licking River. See also a picture of me in front of the gate with the No trespassing sign. You can see the white tanks from both the Google Maps photo as well as from my photo in front of the tanks. Let me know if you need more info.
And one more screenshot of East 32nd Street zoomed in, which shows the eastern side of the street broken off from the main section of E 32nd Street by the railroad tracks.
Yeah, the picture helps. It looks like a double fence line on both sides ot that street/road/way/path. The outer fence is not visible on the satellite. And the gate is very clear on your picture. So I make the path private. I still am curious if this entrance way is actually name 32nd street. Sometimes streets ARE named like they are the prolongation of some street nearby.
