Global Running Day 2026 Group Runs

Share your planned Global Running Day 2026 run in threads in this post. Let people know where to meet, at what time, and share a link to the Route you created with Route Builder.

Post your group run events as replies to this top post. The software behind this forum just enabled threaded replies, so each group run can have its own identifiable conversation. This should make it easier to have isolated conversations area-by-area, rather than a single thread of confusing replies.

(Edit: The threaded reply setup this forum software implemented had some considerable bugs that caused me to remove that feature. We can still share our planned runs, but it’ll be more difficult to have isolated conversations.)

I’m doing one in Holyoke, MA.

Start time: 9am
Meeting location: The tennis courts at Crosier field; parking on Mackintosh Terrace
Route: ~4.4 miles to complete 20 streets Global Running Day 2026 - CityStrides

Hi James

Love your CityStrides website and my little one and I enjoyed competing in the walking event you did. However we went out today for the Global Running Day event, bagged as many streets as we could but when we’ve come home to see how we fared… It’s been put down as a normal day’s walk and says that I have to join/subscribe if I want my streets to count towards the challenge :face_with_peeking_eye: There are only 266 people in the challenge unlike your previous years where it said it has been increasing each year…is this a glitch or do we really have to pay to join?

Have a great day

Yeah, it’s because sometimes I’m an idiot… Take yesterday/today for example, where I forgot to create the Global Running Day challenge that tracks all our progress.

I didn’t realize until after my run this morning, and I saw 0 streets completed around the world.

I created everything after my run, but I think it’s going to be another hour or two for all the processing to catch up.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Everyone has one of those moments every once in a while. Glad you found the ‘issue’ and again thank you so much for the website.
