I am trying to understand how to create a city within OSM. The streets I just ran show up in OSM (Lake Frederick, VA), but it does not seem to exist as a city in Citistrides or OSM. It’s my understanding I need to create that relation in OSM but I’m hoping someone can guide me as to how to do that.

US Census Bureau? I’ve recently learned that my “hamlet” is indeed a CDP (Census-designated place) and can be found here: < link>
So, thanks to @zelonewolf’s great post, I’m thinking maybe I might start seeing some progress in OTS… If I can find that shapefile.
