Would everyone kindly take the month of April off and stay home so I can get out of the flippin’ 94th percentile?!
I’ve been stuck there for months, and I’d really appreciate walkin’ around in the 95th for awhile. Thanks in advance.

Nah, you only want the people with a higher percentile to take the month off
I just looked and it appears i’m in the 96th percentile, which kind of blows my mind tbh, seeing as I don’t really feel like I’m that active! I only do walk activities and there’s people which a huge amount further than me.
Good point about the higher percentiles. So, based on your confession --you get the month of April off! Thanks for your support…
Or maybe if you spent April walking backwards…? Would that drop you back down to the 95th?
I’ve been slacking the past 2 weeks out here in the 99th percentile. I guess I need to get back at it today if the pesky 94th percentile is mounting a charge.
A post was split to a new topic: Show the number of completed streets in a percentile
OK, I think the penny dropped for me during today’s walk.
The reason I’ve stuck in the 94th percentile forever is because it’s the number of COMPLETED streets that increment your ranking. (Which makes complete sense when I actually think about it…)
I’m walking the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles suburb), where most of the streets are 16 miles east-to-west and 8 miles north-to-south! No WONDER my street completion numbers aren’t changing much… (And I’m not gonna do all the alleys like a certain even-crazier-than-myself person I know on this site.)
For example, I just walked 6 1/2 miles this morning, and only ‘completed’ 3 ‘streets’. But two of those were alleys of which I only passed a node at either end.
I progressed 17 streets–which count, I guess, just not directly against my percentile ranking.
I need to remind myself that it’s the Lifemap that really counts for me–not the ranking. Getting that purple bastard filled in (and remembering all the litter I pick up!) is really what’s keeping me going..
(That, and the fact that I’m also applying my steps to a virtual hike of the PCT!)
I would actually love another decimal point on the percentile!
