Apple Watch Users: How are you syncing?

This is just to satisfy my curiosity as I’ve been a happy user of Coros for the last few years - and the direct sync to coros (as opposed as through an intermediary like strava) is definitely a killer feature.

But I know more and more people are using apple watches. If you’re one of those people, what is your stack? ie - How do you get your tracks from watch to citystrides? Does apple have native run tracking support like garmin/coros or does it use third party apps?

Apple Watch has native run/walk tracking (the types are Outdoor Run and Outdoor Walk).

I, unfortunately, have to direct people to signing up for another tracking service - I usually direct them to MapMyFitness, Runkeeper, or Strava - because Apple Health data is only accessible via app.
They track themselves with their Apple Watch, and connect that to one of the services, and then log into CityStrides via their chosen service.

Personally, I track myself with Runkeeper (since 2009). They have a watch app, but it recently broke so I’ve also been using the Apple Watch tracking  … I like it & I track my workouts in there as well, so I’m fighting the urge to Create a CityStrides app … not sure how that battle is gonna go …

appreciate that. thanks!

from the context of your response, I’m gathering that a direct integration to apple would require an app? I definitely understand why you’re fighting that urge…
