While heatmapping last night, we thought it would be cool if we had more stats on cities. Specifically “what is the longest street? Shortest street? Total mileage (this might already exist)”.
Yeah, the street count & total mileage is displayed just under the city name.
I’m already collecting the city’s total distance by iterating over all the streets and cobbling together distances … it’s a bit complicated because of how OSM doesn’t know “streets” & I’m piecing it all together by joining Way records that share the same name.
But I should be able to re-use that code on the individual street level, then recalculate it whenever a city update touches the street.

Also the streets in a city with most/least completions would be interesting to see
