I notice I can see some other Striders activities or not and does not seem related to being a friend or following them on Strava. Is it all based on privacy settings within Strava (or other ones) itself ?
Yeah, there’s an entire privacy section of the Settings page that lets you choose if/how you’re visible throughout the site.
Strava is the only service that imposes limitations on who you can show your data to through third party services.
so if an activity is private in Strava it won’t show here for anybody else regardless? It’s just my “secondary/backup” CS account that is private in Strava so I don’t appear to be keep running with myself. I probably ought to delete that one here as am now “quite high” on the leaderboard and really “falsely”. It all depends when I take out 2 watches on 2 accounts which I now do all the time partly for “backup” if one “goes wrong” and might otherwise have to repeat a run ![]()
It depends on the account settings - go check out that page and read through the description of each privacy level, that should clear things up.
