Why are there so many “Nameless Runner”. Are they supposed to be anonymous?

If they share their acitivities you can still see their name

If you click an activity, e.g.on this guy Nameless Runner - CityStrides
and then click the Garmin logo on the activity, you wil go to his Garmin Profile that is not set to private.
I just wonder why he is called Nameless Runner when his profile is open and you can see his name is brianhansen

Garmin doesn’t give me any information about the connecting user. It’s up to the person to provide their name during the signup process, or update it in their Settings. Lots of people mindlessly click through the onboarding pages.
