On this activity: CityStrides it is showing 2 roads completed - however there were in fact more like 10 completed (all purple nodes, no reds, and all new roads, not ones I have run before).
I tried resyncing from garmin - but it did not have an effect.
Have you any suggestions as to how this might be fixed - or, if I’m being stupid and there is a reason for it, what that reason is?
As tzruns notes, your activities are private so we can’t see them.
The most likely answer is that there are other streets in your city that share the same name. CS counts completed street names.
Find a road that you think you’ve completed and navigate to the incomplete streets list for that city. Find it in the list. It will tell you “how complete” that street is. If you activate the “show” button for that street, all the incomplete nodes will appear in red (as well as the completed nodes in blue). That will show you where (or if) there are other streets in your city that share the same name. You have to run/walk them all before you get credit for that street.
Another possibility is that if the road you think you’ve just completed have cross roads that you’ve already run, you might have previously caught all their nodes, even though you hadn’t run or walked the actual road. In that case, you would already have received credit for completing them.
I was able to take a look after you made the activity public. This is definitely the “same named streets result in one street in CityStrides” issue.
The easiest way for you to view this is to go to the progressed streets tab on that activity (squiggly up arrow icon). Find any street in Greater London, and click its “show” button. Zoom out until all of Greater London is visible and look for nodes displayed on the map in unexpected locations … Those are the streets in the city that share the same name.
Thanks! I thought I was going mad - it was a long run (17.5m) with 129 progressed and so only 2 completed seemed very weird. And - when I went into the Completed section, it was showing 2 pages. But thanks - following your (James) suggestion of checking the Greater London versions of the streets, I think that just by chance I ran a lot of streets whose names are shared. Appreciate the help everyone!!
