The Mapbox data team is working to improve [the quality of road data](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Organised_Editing/Activities/Resolve_linting_issues_in_The_USA) in the US. They’re fixing things like nodes that were accidentally dragged off the actual street path, impossible angles, etc. This will help improve the quality of street/node data in CityStrides as well. 🚀

Are they fixing the nodes in OSM, or are they fixing them on their map displays?

They’re fixing the data in OSM. That data is what they use to build out their display. It’s similar (and likely way more complex) to how CityStrides uses the data to build out the city/street/node collections.

They recently [wrapped up this project](https://github.com/mapbox/mapping/issues/374#issuecomment-812508202), fixing 7883 roads.
If you listen closely, you might be able to hear the wails of people who were at 💯 prior to Mapbox’s efforts. 🤣
